In June, 2007, shortly after completing her teacher training, she decided to leap into teaching yoga full time. Shannon is grateful and excited to share her knowledge and experience with anyone who is interested. She is constantly adding to her knowledge through self study and attending workshops. For Shannon, yoga is a practice that is to be lived not something that we just do in a classroom. She also practices reiki, another healing art form, and holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
A four week series designed to introduce you to the ancient science of Ayurveda and its healthy practices.
You will discover your ayurvedic constitution and how that applies to your daily life. We will discuss basic rules that apply to everyone and each week we will incorporate a part of a daily routine.
By the end of the series we will have a full dinacharya (daily routine) to support us on our path to a healthier life.
After experiencing yoga’s powerful healing effects, Shannon knew it was part of her life’s journey to share this ancient practice with others. Ayurveda, known as the sister science to yoga, has become a primary influence in her life and her teaching methodology.
She is an Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist, which allows her to incorporate ayurvedic concepts into group classes and use the wisdom of Ayurveda to do lifestyle consulting. Shannon is also a Reiki master and a certified aromatherapist.
Open to ALL Levels. Fee is $60 for all 4 classes.
